Taking part in voluntary activities is a great way to communicate parts of your character to potential employers. This shows not only your willingness to contribute but also elements such as team spirit, responsibility and a willingness to work, which are essential elements in the job market. Volunteering certainly helps you to develop technical skills, sometimes outside the scope of your studies, so it provides you with additional qualifications that are considered an asset in today’s world.

To become a member of the team you do not need to have any particular knowledge, but only a desire for work, cooperation and personal development!

The amount of time you will have to spend depends mainly on you and the willingness you have to contribute to the team. Every activity is voluntary so the more you get involved with the team the more you grow, learn and fill yourself with new experiences and develop yourself!

Any student of the University of Patras’ departments of HEMTY and CEID can become a member of EESTEC Patras. You can become a member simply:

Fill in the registration form, which will take you no more than 10 minutes.
Then click here and apply to join the LC Patras members group.
Finally, to be an official member of EESTEC, but also to have the opportunity to see details of all travel opportunities and apply, create your personal account at eestec.net.
Once you have completed these you will be a member of EESTEC LC Patras !!!

As long as you are already a member of EESTEC LC Patras you can become an active member in the following ways:

By becoming a member of one of the annual local groups or an organizing committee for one of the local or international events.
By participating in an international seminar, by going on a trip.
By becoming a member of one of EESTEC’s annual international groups.

The group is a non-profit organization. Therefore, your registration in the group, as well as your participation in any activity or event is free of charge, as it is for all academic activities of EESTEC!
In case you want to go on a trip, again there is no participation fee for any event of an academic nature. A small participation fee is charged for some of the international events (exchanges), through which you will be given the opportunity to travel and meet other EESTECers, filling you with experiences that will change you for the better.

EESTEC Patras is a student research and development group of the University of Patras and maintains a very good cooperation with the University as well as with the departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, often organizing academic lectures and events with the contribution of professors and institutions of the University.
